Excursions for all

Of course it is: the mountain is not just climbing in its most varied forms or strenuous trekking with heavy backpacks. It is a rediscovery of oneself and one has need to return to slow times, invigorating silences, refreshing views through a full immersion in nature. Moreover, what better way to live it than walking along comfortable paths, with gentle slopes, between pastures and meadows bordering majestic forests full of comfortable forest roads suitable for e-bikes: the important thing is to move a bit and move away from everyday habits, experiencing and discovering our other dimension more deeply linked to the natural world. From this, we will draw a new vigor. It is also scientifically proven: it is called forest bathing.

In the Dolomite valleys there are also many paths suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs, because it is not a slogan, but the reality: the mountain is for everyone. Eventually, a bit of courage is enough. An obstacle is not a sufficient reason to give up, on the contrary, it is a challenge to overcome, with its own times and ways. If you do not have particular health problems, high altitude is not a limit either, because it is often reached by cable car. The Colverde-Rosetta lift, in San Martino di Castrozza, which takes you to the Altipiano delle Pale di San Martino, is a school for you. Just call the ticket office and the staff will be on hand to help with boarding and descent. The cable car to Alpe di Siusi is the same: both the ascent and the disembarkation are easy.

Have you ever heard of Joelette? It is a single wheelchair from off-road, which, with the support of two companions, allows people with reduced mobility to take part in excursions along mountain paths and environmental education trips. The Natural Park of Paneveggio-Pale di San Martino offers it. Moreover, in winter, the Sentiero Marciò and the Sentiero sulla Forra del Travignolo, in Paneveggio, in the absence of snow and ice, are fully accessible with accompanied wheelchairs.
