There is a place, just above Badia, where time stands still and the scent of freshly milked milk fills the air. It’s the Chi Prà Dairy, a small family-run business nestled between green pastures and quiet forests, offering an authentic experience that can engage both adults and children.

Here, in the heart of the Alta Badia, you can discover how real mountain cheese is made—cheese crafted with passion, skilled hands, and slow rhythms. You’re not just a visitor: you become part of a story, a tradition passed down with pride and love for the land.

A genuine welcome for the whole family

As soon as you arrive, you’re greeted by grazing cows, an open view of the Dolomitic peaks and a tranquility that reconnects you with the simple things.

The children have fun right away: they get a close look at the cows, learn how to milk them, and enjoy a snack with homemade bread, butter and jam. In the summer months, they can also take part in small educational workshops that turn the visit into a fun and learning experience.

For adults: authentic flavors and total relaxation.

Adults, on the other hand, are won over by authentic flavors. After getting a close-up look at the cheese-making process, the most awaited moment arrives: the tasting.
Fresh and aged cheeses, soft ricotta, thick and fragrant yogurt… Each bite tells the story of the milk’s quality and the craftsmanship of those who work with it every day.

And while savoring these delights, you can sit outdoors, breathe in the fresh mountain air, and let yourself drift into a moment of silence and peace, with your gaze lost among the peaks of the Dolomites.

An experience that changes with the seasons.

Each season gives a different face to Chi Prà. In spring, the meadows turn green again, and the cows come out of the barns, marking the beginning of a new cycle
Summer is the perfect time to combine a nice hike or bike ride with a visit to the dairy. Reaching it by walking through the farms of Badia makes the experience even more authentic.

Autumn brings warm colors and intense flavors: it’s the perfect time for those seeking tranquility, foliage and perfectly aged products. In winter, even though production slows down, Chi Prà remains open upon request. It’s a unique stop to add to a day on the snow, also after skiing at the nearby La Crusc resort.
