The Dolomites Bike Day is a cycling festival held in June among the Dolomites of the Val Badia.

Imagine cycling on iconic roads, usually busy, but for one day completely free of cars and motorcycles, surrounded only by majestic peaks, blooming meadows, and the silence of the mountains broken only by the sound of wheels on the asphalt. This is the spirit of the Dolomites Bike Day, one of the most awaited days for cycling enthusiasts in the Dolomites.

What is Dolomites Bike Day

The Dolomites Bike Day is a celebration of cycling, not a race. No bib numbers, no timers, just the joy of cycling in one of the most beautiful landscapes in the world. It’s a free, non-competitive event open to everyone, designed to let cyclists experience the pure thrill of crossing the Dolomite passes… without any engines around.

Whether you have a road bike, a gravel bike, an e-bike, or just a simple trekking bike, you’re welcome. The important thing is to enjoy the ride, the landscape and the freedom.

Where and when is the Dolomites Bike Day

The 2025 edition will take place on Saturday, June 21, from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM, along a 51 km loop that passes through three of the most scenic mountain passes in the Dolomites: Campolongo, Falzarego and Valparola.

The route stretches through Corvara, Arabba, Livinallongo and the Ampezzo area, passing through some of the most spectacular sections of the UNESCO World Heritage site. There’s no fixed starting point: you can begin wherever you prefer and choose whether to complete the loop clockwise or counterclockwise (recommended).

Along the route, you’ll encounter postcard-worthy viewpoints, legendary curves, and the constant feeling of being part of something truly special. It’s an opportunity to experience the mountain as a main character, in a sustainable, respectful and joyful way.

For passionate cyclists

The Dolomites Bike Day is designed for everyone. Experienced cyclists will find satisfaction in the elevation gains and the length of the route. Those who prefer to take it slow can stop at every turn to take photos, have a coffee, or simply breathe in the fresh mountain air.

It’s a perfect event for families with kids or anyone who wants to tackle the climb with an e-bike. The pace is up to you: there’s no one to beat, just a day to enjoy.

A day that stays in the heart.

Participating in the Dolomites Bike Day means connecting with the mountain, cycling safely, meeting hundreds of enthusiasts, and feeling that collective energy that only genuine events can transmit.

Moreover, June is the perfect time: the Dolomites are in full bloom, the weather is ideal, and summer has just begun. And with the roads closed to traffic, you can enjoy every curve in complete freedom, with the open sky above you and the Dolomitic rock framing the scene.
